Following your neck lift, you may experience tenderness, bruising, and swelling around your treated areas. This is normal and typically resolves on its own within the following two to three weeks. While most of our patients can return to their normal daily activities, including work, about 10 to 14 days following their neck lift procedure, it typically takes about four to six weeks to make a full recovery. Dr. Boyd will give you detailed post-operative care instructions prior to your neck lift to ensure a swift and easy recovery period. You will be able to see some results of your neck lift about two weeks following surgery, with ultimate results apparent when all swelling subsides, between four to six months later.
